There are multiple ways to get to the island and
many handy hints that will make planning a little easier
By Plane
The quickest way to get to Cozumel is by
plane. There are many flights each week From all over the US, Canada,
Cancun, and Mexico City.
Continental Airlines has one commercial
flight from Houston, TX that is direct and arrives midday during the week
and twice on the weekends. The flight is a beautiful 1 and a half hour
flight.
Aerocaribe, the local airline, has an
average of 10 flights a day to and from Cancun. If you are unable to fly
directly to Cozumel Island then check into flying into Cancun
International Airport and taking a quick 20 minute flight to Cozumel. It
is a very beautiful flight!
Other carriers have seasonal flights and
you should contact your travel agent for a current schedule.
Another option if flying into Cancun is to
take a taxi from the Airport to Playa Del Carmen (a 30 minute ride South),
and then taking the Ferry from there to Cozumel Island (a 30 minute trip).
